Our work starts by asking questions to start taking action and provoke change in people’s perceptions. We question the past, question the present. Every project starts with a real issue, with a real concern with a real question. People often ask us… what does the Big Bang have to do with a humble snail? everyone makes their own answer…
BIG BANG LAB MISSION
• To contribute to local regeneration by producing participatory projects.
• To promote an active engagement among young people with their heritage.
• To raise awareness and value of cultural identity through creative projects.
• To provoke civic participation and intergenerational exchange projects.
• To build emotional engagement between the content and the user
From the Information Society and through the Knowledge Society we are now in a very interesting moment moving towards the Experience Society, so learning by experience is a good way to move forward…
Wouldn’t it be great to create original music to be played live with films?
How would it be for the audience if we didn’t use words?
If we don’t need words, can we communicate and reach out to the whole world across cultural differences?
Big-bang Lab’s mission is to offer communities worldwide a framework for connecting with the past, in order to create content that is relevant and challenging today. This is something that can provide them with a connection to their heritage. It allows people to make films collectively, re-using and re-cycling digitized archive media.
We believe that by creating appropriate music in combination with silent cinema, we will connect people across both age and cultural traditions. We will continue to be creative by exploiting content that is both engaging and entertaining at a local and global level. We are implementing a sustainable model by reinvesting in new content, productions and learning models.
Silent films are alive and well. We are contributing to this by bringing ideas into action by innovation, theory and practice. Your contribution will make this possible. To read more about Big Bang Lab story, click on the image to donwload our first newsletter, the seashell.
