We showed previous Big Bang Lab productions including Un Chien Andalou, Unseen Voices and shorts silent films, a mixture of contemporary films such as Mememe (2008) and Homeland (2007) alongside historical silent films with live and recorded music.
We discussed openly with the audience about music and silent films in the format of an interactive chat show. We ran two workshops in the afternoon, one choral workshop where people from all ages joined forces and voices together to form a choir from scratch. We created and performed live a vocal score to the film Mememe (2008) at the end of workshop and at the evening performance. The second workshop was an instrumental balloon orchestra workshop for the film El Hotel Eléctrico (1904). Following the spirit of the Open Rehearsal, the audience became performers and had the opportunity to join the celebration and play live as a balloon orchestra. The outcome was unpredictable to all senses!

Invitation to a Journey created an open debate with the audience about the role of new music and silent films as well as the issue of accessibility of screen heritage to communities.
