Turning celluloid moments into something that’s still on the edge, The Guardian

… events like this are ultimately worth going to because they create “cinema” out of a bunch of old films. Sure,  you can YouTube many of these clips, too. But sitting at home, watching scratchy black-and-white shorts on your PC or telly doesn’t always make for much of an experience. Programming these films with live music denotes a degree of commitment that the audience can immediatley appreciate. (John L. Wlaters, The Guardian)

We work with  festivals, cinemas, art galleries, venues and other cultural organizations, looking for ways of audience engagement, attract visitors, connect curatorial content with outreach and marketing activities or new programmes or events including discussions, mobile cinema projection or special event production. Big Bang Lab also is starting to produce its own independent production to reach directly new audiences through unique programmes of live music with silent and archive films,  matching emerging composers and music ensembles with selected films, obtaining licensing from independent production companies, promoting new forms of silent digital films as well as the production and sales of DVDs and other forms of digital distribution.
